Eph 1:11-14 – Sealed with the Holy Spirit

The blessed hope for all Christians is the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ:

“waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Tit 2:13 ESV)

“so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.” (Eph 1:12)
“In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit” (Eph 1:13)

Eph 1:12 – “we” refers to Paul and the believers who were Jews.

Eph 1:13 – “you” refers to the Ephesians and Gentile believers.

Both groups (Jewish and Gentile believers) have obtained an inheritance of spiritual blessings which will be complete at the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 1:11, 14)
