Dear Bethesda Chapel,
We greet you from a cold and windy winter day in Tome.
As missionaries serving with OM Japan, Keiko and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous financial gift for the renovation of the new church building in Tome. Your support is a tremendous blessing and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in advancing God’s kingdom in this part of Japan.
Our hearts were so warmed by the church’s decision to collect offerings on three Sundays in January and the result that the exact budgetted amount of S$41,328 was collected! God is so faithful!
Thanks to your generosity. We are now able to move forward to do the needed renovations that will transform this building into a place where people can gather to worship, grow in faith and experience the love of Christ. This new space will serve as a beacon of hope in the centre of Tome, providing a welcoming environment for believers and an open door for those seeking to know the Lord.
Your kindness and willingness to invest in this mission remind us of 2 Corinthians 9:11: “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” Truly, your faithfulness in giving is an encouragement not only to us but also to those who will be impacted by this church for years to come.
Please know that we are praying for Bethesda Chapel as well – that God will bless you all abundantly for your generosity and continue to use you to make a lasting impact for His Kingdom.
Thank you once again for your support and partnership in the gospel. May God bless you richly!
With deep appreciation and prayers,
Stephan & Keiko Smithdorff OM Japan missionaries Tome Church Planting Team
