Walking In The Light Of God In A Darkening World

In the world of quick take-away food, short action video-clips, both young and old are constantly tapping and eyeballing the smart screens. The world is pursuing greatness with AI and IT. Are we following the world for personal greatness or are we following Christ to share His glory?

Our minds feed constantly on rapid short but shallow streams of information. This is a form of idolatry if we are loving and desiring the things that we see. We know this if we neglect time of fellowship with God and with His children.

Be wise, get to know and love Jesus Christ more. He will give you His wisdom to walk, work and shine for God in this fast moving and uncertain world. Many people don’t think they are lost in cyberspace. Pray for the spiritually lost around you.

This article is written on my smartphone in between short breaks. I am conscious of the flight of time.

My smartphone can assist me to know God and make Him known. It can also lead me astray.

The Son of God became a man to reveal Himself physically. The risen Christ who is seated at God’s right hand did not send new messages via internet and social media. Today He still sends His living disciples to proclaim the good news of Christ Jesus.

We can proclaim Him better when we spend more time with Jesus. How? By reading, studying, praying and obeying His commandments.

We proclaim God’s living presence by our words, deeds, conduct and behaviour. One who walks in spiritual darkness will be ashamed to proclaim that God is light.

Set aside precious time, like Mary, to listen to what Jesus your Master and Saviour is saying to you. Don’t rush along with the world.

We cannot be loving the world and loving God.

We cannot serve Mammon and God.

Last word from the beloved disciple of Jesus:
Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” (1 John 5:21).
