Thai Christian Students (TCS) recently organised a university students camp and we saw 87 students attend. There were many new contacts in the camp, and it was a pleasure to meet new faces.
I was particularly encouraged by one student in my small group. She is a second-year student from an open university in Bangkok. I noticed that she was earnest, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
When I heard her testimony, I realised that she had only been a Christian for around two years. She shared that there was a time when she was bored and so she scrolled through an app that arranged meetups for people wanting to visit certain areas or try certain foods in Bangkok. However, something else caught her eye. Someone posted that she could do Bible studies with anyone who was interested. Somehow, she was curious about it and decided to join those Bible studies.
She then learnt more about the Bible through this person and eventually got connected to a church and accepted Christ!
We really never know how God can use seemingly random things to call people to Himself.
Let’s never dismiss any opportunity God sends our way nor dismiss creative ideas we may have for sharing the gospel with someone.
