What shall I do when I encounter a struggle or a challenge? Learning from Daniel & his 3 godly buddies, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego, they feared the living Lord God more than they feared man, they stayed faithful in prayer with total dependence on the One who is sovereign over all lives, come what may. Their courageous and uncompromising faith in God stood out to me, especially in their life-and-death situations. In accordance with His will, God kept them alive, in the lions’ den and in the fiery furnace, to prove their innocence and for His glory to be revealed to the nations! What an omnipotent God we have!
Recently, my helper was unwell and had to be on bed rest. We had just moved back home after a renovation. Unprepared for her unwellness, we sought the living Lord God and asked for His guidance & wisdom to direct our steps as we faced the challenges ahead. God remembers His people, my whole household, and heard our plea for help. Two weeks later, God revived my helper, and she was up and about again, caring for my mum & doing some household chores.
During the tough two weeks, God graciously provided my husband and I with new ideas on meal preparation and cleaning the floor. Everyone did their part in setting up the home.
Looking back, I’m thankful for the Lord’s provision and for the support rendered by my family. Through this challenge, the Lord has drawn my family and me even closer to Him and enabled more dependence on Him through prayer.
