Prepare For The Day Of The LORD (DOTL)

Today we are experiencing difficult times. We have natural disasters, wars, poverty and inflation. On the personal level, many people experience domestic conflicts, financial distress, marriage breakdown, dysfunctional families, etc. But things will be far worse in the DOTL – the time of God’s wrath (2 Timothy 3:1).

The Rapture of believers will take place just before the Day of the LORD (DOTL). At Rapture, Christ will descend from the clouds to receive the dead in Christ and the living believers, the Bride of Christ to the Father’s house. The occasion will be like a thief in the night. He will present His Bride blameless before God the Father in heaven (Jn 14:1 2; Eph 5:27; Col 1:22; 1 Thess 4:17).

Following the Rapture, there will be a global peace treaty which will set in motion the wrath of God during the Great Tribulation. With the two witnesses and 144,000 Jewish evangelists, God will turn the hearts of faithful Israelites to YHWH.

At Christ’s 2nd Coming near the end of the Great Tribulation, He will rescue the remnant of Jews and the Tribulation saints. He will defeat the Antichrist and the false prophet at the campaign of Armageddon. He will judge between nations. He will set up the Millennial Kingdom and rule with everlasting peace and righteousness for a thousand years.

Meanwhile, the only good news worth sharing is the Gospel:

  1. Jesus loves sinners and has died for them.
  2. He hates sins and has paid for the sins of mankind.
  3. He is risen and returning soon.
  4. Believe in your heart that He is Lord and be saved.

God seeks and gives strong support to those whose hearts are blameless toward Him (2 Chron 16:9).

To be blameless before God, we must all prepare urgently for the DOTL by:

  • Approaching boldly and confidently the holy God in Jesus’ Name (Heb 4:16).
  • Strengthening our souls and bodies with regular intake of God’s Word and healthy diet with corresponding spiritual and physical exercises (1 Tim 4:7-7; 2 Tim 3:16-17).
  • Always staying awake and alert as children of light (1 Thess 5:16).
  • Praying at all times in the Holy Spirit with thanksgiving to God in all circumstances for all saints and sinners (Eph 6:18; 1 Thess 5:16).

Amen.
