Are there situations that you have encountered difficulties and there seems to be no solution or success? This could be a prolong job search, or an illness that you have which seems to have no recovery. Or you are suffering from broken relationships with your family members or friends which you hope you can mend.
In Jeremiah 32, the Lord told Jeremiah to buy a field outside Jerusalem. Despite what seems to be a poor investment, Jeremiah trusted the Lord that He will eventually restore the city which was stated in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. In the Bible, we have seen events which the impossible happen. Some include, God blessing Sarah who was at an old age with Isaac; God leading Moses to part the Red Sea to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and God protecting Daniel when he was thrown into the lions’ den.
What can we learn from the above? Trusting and obeying God in prayer are responses that we take as believers when we face difficulties and challenges in life. Will you allow God to do the “impossible” through your obedience and trust in Him?
“‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.”’ (Jeremiah 32:17, ESV)
