Elder Beng Keong shared a moving story of a stranger from China who walked into a watchnight meeting uninvited. He was warmly welcomed, and through the members of the church, he experienced the love of God.
It invites us to reflect: Almost every Sunday, we receive visitors from overseas or from the Kembangan neighbourhood. How many visitors who walk into BC experience that same love – so much so that they want to come back again?
This year, let us intentionally love one another. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God.” – 1 John 4:7 (ESV)
Love can be expressed in simple ways: a listening ear, a greeting of grace and peace, spending time after the service connecting, an encouraging WhatsApp message, or an offer of prayer.
As our “A BC Community for the Community” sanctuary banner reminds us, may every person who walks into BC see and experience God’s love through us.
We love because He first loved us.
