And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9, ESV)
Some of you may remember a girl named F, whom I have shared about before. She grew up in a Muslim family in Thailand and came to know Jesus when she went on an exchange program to the U.S. during high school.
We met her when she was in university. At that time, she could not attend church and had to hide her Bible from her family.
Over the years, she experienced several ups and downs in both life and faith. She even returned to Islam for a period.
Later, she went to Scotland for further studies. There, she connected with a church and renewed her faith. She was baptised on the same day, ten years after she first accepted Christ in the U.S. Today, she is still in Scotland. She serves as a deacon at her church and is involved in international student ministry, welcoming students from many different countries.
Recently, she returned to Thailand for a week and visited us. She shared how thankful she was for all the people who had invested in her over the years. We played only a small part in her journey of more than ten years – there were many others who also walked alongside her.
This reminded me of the importance of being faithful to whoever God places in our path. We may not know how their story will end, but we are called to invest in them during the season in which our paths cross. We leave the rest of the story to God. He is the One who brings fruit – in His will and in His time.
Who has God placed in your path today? How can you point that person to Jesus, or simply begin praying for them?
