Following My Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” speaks to me of God’s provision for all my needs. It reminds me that I can always trust Him instead of worrying.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” shows a peaceful place and resting in His presence.

I thank the Lord that He is always leading me. He guides, protects and cares for me, in all situations.

I thank the Lord that He gives me rest as I serve Him. I need to remind myself that He wants me to be refreshed with His presence. “… He leads me beside still waters.”  (Psalm 23:2)

When I face stressful times and when my spiritual and mental resources are low, He restores me.

Praise the Lord, He is always present to help me to renew and reenergize me. “… He restores my soul …” (Psalm 23:3)

I have faced trials in my life, some are difficult, some are distressing, some trials last long. Yet, by following Him, I can come out of these trials with my faith refined like precious gold. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, …” (Psalm 23:4)

Praise God that Jesus is the light of the world. He leads me along His path so that I will not stray into paths of darkness. I look forward to heaven. There my faith will turn to sight. Then I will behold the glory of His presence. That day will be great and wonderful. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me …” (Psalm 23:6)

I thank the Lord for this Psalm. I always find precious lessons from His Word. Do you?

Is Jesus your Shepherd?

I trust that Psalm 23 will encourage you and strengthen your faith.
