Walking with God

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. (Psalm 28:7 NIV).

At my baptism on 18 Dec 2005, I was given a Bible with the above baptism verse typed on a red label. I keep this verse very close to my heart as it is my anchor for my walk with God.

2023 has been an eventful year for me as I had a detached retina in my right eye. I had to go for two surgeries within two months. The recovery process was very tough, but I am thankful for all the prayers and God’s mercy and grace in seeing me through. My vision is still not clear after six months, but I am trusting God for complete restoration according to His time and will.

I prayed and requested to step down from Sunday School ministry as I have difficulty in reading. Members of the ministry have been praying for a while for God to raise a new leader. God can use any circumstances to accomplish His plan. We thank Him for answering our prayers and for calling Zheng Yang to lead the ministry.

I have been serving in our Junior Sunday School for eight years. It is a wonderful journey working together with Debra and a dedicated team of teachers/helpers in teaching God’s word to the children.

A close walk with God requires an obedient heart and surrender of self to God. God is the Lord of my life.

To Him be all glory and honour.
