Christmas is about Christ. As we celebrate His birth, let us not forget the purpose for which He came. He came in order to die on the Cross for our sins.
Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He is the way that leads to the true God and to eternal life. He Himself is the true living God and the Source of Life.
Through His death on the cross, He paid for our sins, so that we can be reconciled to God the Father, if we turn to Him and receive Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
In the parable of the Prodigal Son, we see the contrast between the Prodigal and the Christ. The prodigal son was lost, Christ is the Way. The prodigal was ignorant, Christ is the Truth. The prodigal was dead (spiritually), Christ is the Life.
May the message of Christmas bring many more to receive the Way, the Truth and the Life!
