The need of a sin-infested world

The word ‘infestation’ holds different meanings to different groups of people. To some who are concerned about pest infestation as in: https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/earth-and-planetary-sciences/pest-infestation , it is about the removal or reduction of pests.

For others, it might be a 2020 movie or an even older 2009 movie. For another group, it is about a game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/226700/Infestation_Survivor_Stories_2020/

For most people, it is all about getting rid of something they do not want or even loathe. But something more sinister is lurking in this world to the extent that many people do not realise it is there – and that is sin.

Sin is missing the mark, having alienated us from God and making us displease Him. And many people have no qualms about sinning repeatedly. The world has allowed it to remain and gain a foothold so now it has become impossible for it to be dislodged.

The Psalmist said in Psalms 103:8, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”

Though God hates sin, He loves His creation. He is patient and has provided a way out for us when He sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son into this world to redeem mankind.

This is the season to share what the world really needs. This sin-infested world needs to be cleansed of sin and its bondage. The good news is that Jesus Christ is the answer.
