Seek The Whole Counsel Of God

We need to seriously take a look again at the way we present the gospel. We must not only focus on God’s salvation but also include the Lordship of God in our lives.

We cannot treat the gospel as a “get-out-of-hell” card without God’s life-transforming power.

To preach the whole counsel of God and the gospel of Christ, we must make sure it covers atonement, justification, grace and the final goal of Jesus’ saving work which is an establishment of righteousness in this world and ultimately the new heavens and the new earth.

The gospel of Christ and the whole counsel of God are applicable in every area of our lives such as evangelism, practising justice and loving our neighbours of different cultures.

When we are accepted by Christ into His Kingdom, we have a mission to accomplish by bringing others in as well.  The sooner we start, the easier it will be.  The more we delay, the harder it gets.

In Matthew 5 & 6, we are reminded to keep our spiritual lives private.  When our relationship with our Lord is intimate and strong, others will be attracted to the way we conduct ourselves in public.  Jesus is the light of the world.  When we spend more time with Him in private, His light will shine through us and people will glorify the Father because they see Jesus in us.

We are called to be the light of the world.  We are citizens of the Kingdom of God, and we should be good citizens on earth as well.
