Pass The Baton

It has been an honour and privilege for me to have served in the BCLM committee since 2010, and as the Chairperson for the last 5 years.

God’s sustaining joy has kept this ministry vibrant all these years. Staying relevant and meeting the needs of BC ladies has been our constant prayer and aim. Our deepest heart’s desire is for younger women to participate and step up to serve in BCLM.

At one Sunday service, I saw a whole team of young leaders – worship, pastoral and speaker. It dawned on me that it was time for BCLM’s leadership to be rejuvenated. At the Church Camp, I observed that young people entrusted with responsibilities, equipped, and empowered by God were able to serve Him and give Him all honour and glory.

Hence, I decided to step down in December 2023. I have total peace and I am very excited as I look forward to a new BCLM. For those whom God calls, please do not be afraid as He who calls is faithful. I can truly testify how God has provided for each meeting. Even during Covid full or partial lock-down, we were able to continue our meetings over Zoom and hybrid, including decentralised meal fellowship of 5 persons in each home. God’s love is evident, tangible, and purposeful.

My past and current committee members and subcommittee members are my dear mentors, truest friends and comrades in arms. They are God’s loving gift and blessings to BC, BCLM and me. My family’s support and sacrifice at times have sustained me in my multitasking to balance work, family, and ministries.

May God reward each one of you with His abundant riches and blessings!

23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:23-25 ESV)
