Live Your Lives Fully For Christ

Jesus promises that all who follow Him will have fullness of life (John 10:10). He warns us that Satan seeks to steal, kill and destroy.

Everyone has 24 hours in a day and an undefined lifespan. The younger ones think that there is plenty of time in the future to live for Christ. The older ones think that they have done enough and that it is time to enjoy life.

Satan failed to tempt Jesus with the attractions of the world. Today he tempts Christians with his kind of fullness of life – the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Resist him by following Jesus’ example. Reject these temporal vain glories. Seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness.

Like a burning candle, one’s life can be snuffed out by a gust of wind. We have seen lives taken away by accidents or disasters or sicknesses.

Every Christian will appear before the Bema (judgment seat) of Christ (2 Cor 5:10; Rom 14:10), by God’s grace, not for judgment of sins but for faithfulness and obedience. Each one will have to give an account of what he or she has done in the body.

Is the light of the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ shining wherever you are and in whatever you do? Are those in spiritual darkness able to see the light of Christ shining through you?

Abundant life is living the Christ-centred life, according to the Word of God and being led by the Holy Spirit.

Live your lives fully for Jesus. Be devoted to Him. He will fill your hearts with what really satisfies.
