Live by faith
It is written “ Without faith it is impossible to please God”. Have you ever wondered what one would do to please someone and win over his or her heart. It may be in a relationship or in a business deal. 14th Feb 2013 was “Valentine Day”. I believed many people have spent much effort, time and money to please their loved ones.
In my own business dealings, I have learnt the importance of understanding my clients. It is in understanding them that I would know how to react and respond. I have found that many conflicts were avoided when my clients have been pleased during the course of building their dream home.
“Full Assurance In The Heart” (FAITH), that my God whom I believe is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see. I invite you to go into the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11 and read of many men and women who by their faith in God had done wonders. “Faith without works is dead”. If you desire to please God then you must act by exercising faith in Him. “ Just do it”.
Three and half years ago, I left my comfortable and secured job of 16 years without a new job in hand. In 2007, I have been busily working and did not have the time to do the things that matters most. I was the sole breadwinner of a family of five. The secured monthly salary was needed to support my family but my job cost me to have a lack of intimate relationship with my God, family members and friends because I have no time for them. I thank God that He guided me out of this predicament as the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart that it’s time again that I step out in faith to trust my God, the Provider. Today, the rest is history; God has once again shown himself to be faithful and true to His promises. He has not only provided financially but more importantly, I believed I am living my life in His will and purpose. I am able to have and make time to do the things that matters eternally. I believed God was pleased when I step out in faith to believe Him.
Is your life dull and mundane? Jesus said I have come to give you abundant life. Maybe it is time you step out in faith to do something to please God. Change your job? Serve in church? Take a long needed vacation to seat at the feet of Jesus? Introduce Jesus to a friend or loved one? I believe that we would be giving ourselves many excuses not to step out in faith but I have only one reason why you should. It is written, “Without faith it is impossible to please God”. Remember, it is not blind faith but faith in our God who is all loving, all giving, all knowing, all-powerful and all present.
Jesus said, it is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God”. Now go, live by faith and not by sight.
