I was so excited when I found out that my wife was pregnant. I was so happy and ready to be a father although I knew nothing about it. I thought it was going to be a breeze and I could handle any situation that would come about on my own. Little did I know that I had been completely wrong.
l learnt that I lacked patience, I got angry too quickly and I had made wrong decisions. I realised that doing it on my own without any help from God had been a big mistake. I realised that I was not perfect and I needed help from my perfect Father. I needed His help to be more patient, I needed His help to control my temper, I needed His help to make wise decisions and I needed His help to love my son.
Thank God that we have a good and perfect Father who is ever ready to help us. We just need to call on His name and put our trust in Him as Isaiah 26:3-4 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: Because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever: For in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”
