All of us wash the stains from our clothes and sweat from our bodies daily. Our evil hearts, corrupted minds and guilty consciences must similarly be cleansed daily.
Ezekiel, God’s prophet, said, “The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4, 20).
The Hebrew word “nephesh” (Greek “psyche”) translated as “soul” in the English Bible refers to the whole person. The living person has both body and soul.
Jesus said, “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:40).
Jesus’ mission on earth was to save your life – your body and soul.
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
All Christians must be washed spiritually with the shed blood of Jesus Christ. God sees and judges all sins. Unbelief, disobedience and unforgiveness are sins. God, the Heavenly Father, is satisfied with the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins to Jesus Christ (1John 1:8-10).
God desires everyone to believe that Jesus died for their sins on the cross. God will forgive and cleanse the believing soul with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Good Friday beckons all whose hearts, minds and consciences are not right with God. They can be spiritually cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Good Friday reminds all Christians that there is spiritual cleansing at the cross. By making a confession, every secret stain and dark spot in your heart, mind and soul will be purified by the blood of Christ!
“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God!” (Matthew 5:8).
Blessed Good Friday!
